February 02,2010: PTS launches new PP/ABS Blend with focus on Hard/Soft combinations. This Blend combines the dimensional stability of an amorphous Material with chemical resistance of a semi-crystalline Material. Additionally you are able use Standard TPS and TPV for Hard-Soft combinations. November 20, 2007:
PTS publishes a “TPE Manual”. This brochure is intended to aid comparison between the most important TPEs in the block copolymer (e.g. TPS, TPC, TPA, TPU) and polymer blend (such as TPV and TPO) sectors. The brochure clearly describes the advantages and disadvantages of the different TPEs. PTS is the only company with a product range that includes all the important TPEs. __________________________________ November 15, 2006: New brochure: Injection moulding of TPEs Since August 2006, a very detailed brochure on the injection moulding of thermoplastic elastomers has been available for PTS customers. This brochure contains notes on mould design, predrying, injection moulding and much more besides. If you are interested, please order brochure “V1” from the PTS team. __________________________________
October 2, 2006: 20th anniversary of PTS – fit for the future On the 20th anniversary of PTS-Marketing, the share capital was increased out of the company’s own resources from 210 000 euro to 1.54 million euro. By taking this step, PTS is strengthening its position as a reliable and dependable business partner for suppliers and customers. At the same time, the PTS Group plans to invest some 3 million euro in capacity expansion (by 5000 t) and automation by the end of 2006.

May 30, 2006: PTS to market PANLITE polycarbonate from Teijin as of July 1, 2006 PTS is to handle marketing and technical service for PANLITE in Germany. __________________________________ December 29, 2005: PTS-THERMOPRENE (TPE-V) with good adhesion to HOSTAFORM (POM), patent pending. German polymer producer, Ticona, has joined with PTS to launch patented materials on the market with the following properties: - melt processability - good adhesion to POM (Hostaform) in two-component injection moulding - good sealing properties up to 100°C When PTS-THERMOPRENE and HOSTAFORM are used together, no licence fees will be charged for this patent. __________________________________ April 19, 2005: PTS alliance in the TPE sector Bayer Material Science and PTS: Bayer and PTS are jointly developing and marketing thermoplastic elastomer compounds under the trade name DESMOFLEX TM. Read more on the Bayer MaterialScience website__________________________________ PTS alliance for engineering thermoplastics PTS has concluded a distribution agreement with Arkema for the products RILSAN (polyamide 11, polyamide 12), PEBAX (polyamide elastomer) and ORGALLOY (polyamide/polyolefin blends), effective from July 2005. In addition, PTS will develop and supply radiation crosslinkable polymers based on these materials without any market restrictions. __________________________________ January 2, 2005: 2004 a record year for PTS with 33% growth In 2004, after a short period of increased competition, the PTS Group achieved its highest growth since the company’s foundation. Mainly through innovative new materials and processes, PTS has further strengthened its leading position in radation crosslinkable materials and new thermoplastic elastomers, particularly in the area of hard/soft combinations with ENGINEERING THERMOPLASTICS. Using nanotechnology, PTS can supply materials with an antimicrobial effect. __________________________________ Licences for hard/soft injection moulding Several times in the trade press, a competitor has claimed to have exclusive licences for hard/soft injection moulding with engineering thermoplastics. This is not true, which is why PTS has already published corrections in the trade press (for example, in KI 1680 of January 5, 2004). Information about licences or patents is only useful if interested parties can check it out. For this reason, we can send you on request the detailed list of 19 patents for which PTS is fully licensed. These mainly relate to hard/soft injection moulding with engineering thermoplastics such as ABS, PA, PC, ABS/PC blends, POM and many more.
